Single Track Hobbies Announces "Proto Switch"
Stall Motor, Signal and Simulated Train Protection Controller
Cocoa, Florida - Sept 1, 2008 - Bleu Enterprises, Inc., makers of the ProtoSwitch
Single Track Hobbies announces the release of ProtoSwitch. ProtoSwitch is designed for hands free turnout/switch control on turnouts/switches equipped with a stall motor via a magnetic sensor located under the ground cover. ProtoSwitch will PNP on Tortoise* Slow Motion Switch Motors via a card edge connector. ProtoSwitch also has the ability to reduce the throw speed of the motor with a simple turn of a trim pot. You also have the ability to change the motor output from a momentary to latched output with the placement of a jumper on the program header. This allows you to use switches (toggle/push button) that are already installed on your fascia. If space is limited, you can remote wire to the board through the solder tabs provided or reverse the outputs by placing a jumper across the program header and plug the ProtoSwitch in opposite. The solder tabs also allow access to the internal micro switches located in the Tortoise*.
With the optional 10 pin ribbon cable the ProtoSwitch will supply four LED outputs (two thrown (blink opt.) and two closed) for signal and/or fascia mounted LED's. As well, the ProtoSwitch has four different flickering LED outputs to simulate flares being placed on the tracks for train protection. There are no resistors required for LED operation; all resistors are located on the ProtoSwitch.
ProtoSwitch Suggested Retail Price: $24.95
